Bidra med feedbackIve been in this city for the past 8 months and hands down this is the BEST Indian restaurant I’ve been to. The chefs have mastered the art of incorporating authentic Indian spices and flavour and they produce a variety of dishes. Along with the food the people who work here are very patient and helpful, I was so confused with what to order and they patiently took me through the entire menu. Lastly, for the quantity and taste I think the price is a perfect match. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try what Indian food is like and also to those who want to reminisce about food from back home.
I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised how great the customer service was. Ambiance was nice as well but the food was just amazing! Dakshin is a hidden gem of south Charlotte.
I have had quite a few dishes from Dakshin in the past, including the chicken 777 which is my favorite. Their menu has a lot of variety that satisfies both vegetarians and non-veg lovers. My personal favorite would be the bejawada chicken biryani. The staff are also very friendly. It’s definitely my go to spot!
Wonderful spot for Indian food. Always delicious, large portions, good value, and service. Would recommend and will be back.
Some dishes are fine but both the times i ate here, i was disappointed. I had ordered Chicken dishes and i had mixed feelings. It just had boiled chicken added to gravy with no amalgamation. I hated the meat and just had rice naan with gravy. Vegetarian dishes with Paneer was fine but not finger-liking good. And yes, even the dishes for kids were spicy. For the price they charge, I’m sure they can do better.Kid-friendliness: This place is not really kid-friendly if your kids do not prefer spicy food. Despite request and explanation that food is for kids, food was still at medium level spicy. When asked, i was told that this was the lowest spice level they can go.
