Carolina Ale House - Charlotte

Just had a seriously odd experience at this restaurant. I took a business visitor to dinner because he wanted to see an 'American ' bar with all the TV 's. We ordered a beer and got carded: being from out of the country, he had his local drivers license and his international drivers license, but no 'American ' ID. Both were declined by management, and they asked that he provide his passport! I stopped things at this point, as it was ridiculous. I am 60 and he is 42. I understand that this is within their rights, but it is ridiculous. Duckworth 's is just across the street, and was much more accommodating to adults. This restaurant has lost more business than it realizes, as it is now off our rotation.

Our server, Jammie, made the night a memorable party! She and my wife are now great friends! Great fun! Thanks for the laughts! Parking: Easy walk to the restaurant.

Jammie was hands down one of the best servers I have ever had. Definitely coming back and asking for her. Also the food was delicious!

Hayden is the best! We will definitely request her next time we come in!! Vegetarian options: Beyond burger and plant based chicken.

Veronica was exceptionally friendly, engaging, and attentive, which made our dinner absolutely perfect!
