Bidra med feedbackWhen I walked into the restaurant, two ladies greeted me. Later I learned ine was the owner. As I was waited for a friend, I ordered the fried pickles. I was surprised, that it was pickles spears. There was grease to the bottom of the basket however it was tasty. I did not care for the sauce. I ordered the Crab cakes with 2 sides. I had butter beans and collard green along with 2 hushpuppies. I enjoyed the butter bean and Crab cakes. My friend ordered the grill Mahi Mahi with 2 sides. The fish was dry. She did not enjoy the salad and collard greens. She loved the unsweetened and sweeten tea. When informing the waitress of the concerns. She directed us the owner. The owner removed the Mahi Mahi from the ticket. I felt bad because I was paying for the meal this time. We are undecided, if we will try again and try something different. The service was good. The food is average.
An awesome little place. Friendly and attentive staff. The mason jar was always filled. Lots of sauce choices. The crab cakes were some best with perfectly seasoned remoulade sauce. And we are from south Louisiana. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly done. We highly recommend you try this gem of a restaurant. And look at the cute salt and pepper shakers at the checkout.
Authentic southern cooking in a cozy location. This hole in the wall restaurant is in my top 10 of places to eat in the greater Charleston area. The butterbeans alone are worth the trip. A
This restaurant not only serves up some of the best Southern homemade food but also a heaping helping of good ole Southern hospitality. They greet everyone like they're friends or family coming over for dinner. The generous portions will leave you fully satisfied. Just leave room for the scrumptious desserts. Because you're gonna want to try a few of those.
Great little mom and pop country restaurant . Food was great . Wife had catfish . I had yummy chicken livers. Fried Okra was delicious. AND they have home made fresh cakes every day.
