Horrible experience from take out after a great dine in meal!!Ordered online Prime rib, new potatoes and a muffin.I get there and lady said we don 't have prime rib .Then she looks in the delivery bin and I take it and leaveWasn 't Prime rib nor new potatoes. It was all cold and was overcooked! Roast beef and brown potatoes. Meat was tough and potatoes were gross! I feel a refund should be given. If I was feeling better I 'd return it all!!

The food has been good every time. This was the only time I've gone in and the service on the floor was awful. The liver onions are always good!!!Food: 4/5

If you want a good home cooked meal, you have found the right spot. We had friends over to our pool and everyone was getting hungry. Not wanting to cook or go out to eat, we opted for a take out dinner. Originally we were talking about getting fried chicken (awesome), but after looking at the takeout menu, two of us got the liver and onions. Now that’s not something that you can get just anywhere. The Mac and cheese is about as close to my mother’s as anyone can get. They have a good variety of greens such as turnip greens, cabbage, or green beans. The deserts are very good, too. The only problem I had was that the banana pudding wasn’t on the takeout menu. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:30. I got there at 25 after and it was packaged up and sitting on the counter waiting. In and out! Exactly what I wanted because I was still in my swim clothes.

I've been eating here with family for years and the last few years is been hit or miss, mostly miss. I did However have the best meal last Sunday and came back today to another disappointment. Maybe it's time for me to finally move on.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

I grew up going here with my grandmother often as a child/young adult. I'm in my late 30s now, and I can still remember the smell when walking in the door. I make it a point to go when I'm in town to see my mother. I love how quiet it is, how delicious the food is, and the friendliness of the staff. I'm so glad to see that it's still around. The food choices are expansive, and there's always something for everyone. West Ashley Is the perfect location for this cafeteria, as most of the people eating there are the older generation. The epitome of comfort food.
