Malagon Mercado Y Taperia - Charleston

Malagon is a nice little restaurant that deserves your attention. It is a beautiful place to enjoy some good wine and tapas! They make their own sourdough bread, which is fantastic and in my opinion goes well with such sections of the menu such as “charcuteria y queso” or “carne”. We also tried the seafood paella. It has a lot of taste and can be characterized as authentic Spanish paella. Absolutely loved! To dessert we ordered Churros and they were sooooo good. Came fresh and hot, just perfect.

Beautiful restaurant! Secluded, out of the way feel, even being very close to busy King Street. Highly recommend a reservation. Servers were wonderfully friendly and very knowledgeable of the dishes. The food was beautiful and the feel of a Spanish market was authentic. 5/5 we loved it!

Fantastic food an service. A great place to eat for tapas, Spanish style small plate dining. Note that the name tapas does not apply to the cuisine, but to the style...think of eating a meal by sharing 3 or 4 apatizer plates with friends. All the dishes were great, especially the braised pork. The staff was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu.

Can’t get enough of Malagon! The food, service and ambience are all top notch…if it’s nice outside, don’t miss out on their cute patio and the food and whole experience felt right like we were back in Spain! We absolutely loved a bottle of wine we had at dinner one night, and called back to get the name and they took the time to send us a picture of the bottle after looking for our receipt. Doesn’t get much better than that

Out of this world good! I very rarely review restaurants but after going here on a whim and having my mind BLOWN I had to tell others about it! MUST TRY. You will not regret it.
