Laurel - Charleston

Laurel canceled our reservation ONE HOUR before our reserved time! Something about the chef having to leave town. Do they only have one chef? We had this reservation for several weeks. Try getting a reservation in Charleston with one hours notice!

Classic neighborhood corner eatery. Hip and sophisticated. Warm service and clearly a local hangout. All hightop and very comfortable. The window was perfect for us to watch the folks inside and outside the restaurant. The croquette was a must-have. Delicious.

Stopped at laurel it was right up the block from the hospital . Stopped in for happy hour bartender was great with recommendations and told us about the happy hour. Inside was very clean and I loved the decorations. I got the appetizer bread which I enjoyed didn't take a picture) . Giving 4 stars just because I did taste any entree so not sure how the food is here. Deff a nice place to stop in for a drink !

Review is strictly on the Drink and atmosphere since I didn't order food. Excellent old Fashion, Happy hour special was nice. Inside is very clean, fast service. Cool artwork on the ceiling. Wish there was different/ louder music. It's very very subtle in the background.

This place was amazing! The vibe was awesome, the cocktails were great (we had the Paloma and the sangria) and the food was amazing. Matt was really nice and helpful, and made great suggestions. The biggest surprise were the butter beans, the expectations were low but man oh man were the results surprisingly high. The pork shank was to die for. Very bougie, great service, great food, would absolutely come back.
