Carmella's Cafe And Dessert

Coffee horrendous. Tart and lousy. Served in paper. When asked about the real Demi tasses on the espresso machine, was told “they're only for drinks with alcohol.” When asked which alcoholic drink is served in a demi tasse, no response. Tiramisu just a cream mess… Little flavor. I am sorry to report this, because the place looks cute. It's horrendous. $20 for a plastic cup of tiramisu (not really..... Just whipped cream) and two lousy espressos is shameful

Absolute must if you're out at night in Charleston. Everything is spectacular, and the atmosphere is super fun/friendly.

If you're getting dessert in the French Quarter and not going to Carmella's, what are you even doing? The Carrot Cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had, and definitely the best carrot bake I've ever had. And I love carrot cake. We also got the the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie and it was divine. We'll be going back to try more next time we're in Charleston!

Dosent open till 11am?? Long wait, asked why workers who are standing around can't take orders, girl completely ignored me. They simply don't care I won't be going back.

I got a house coffee. It was delicious!! My husband also likes his peach tea with lemonade. Sadly, the Oreo cake was dry and the icing was just okay. Not worth the price.
