Bidra med feedbackSo many memories brought back to small places in brooklyn where I grew up. our eating was a great part, well seasoned, delicious and comforting, as we were looking for italian, it was not disappointed plus I felt in the lower level salon floor in a brown stone in the heights. All right, we'd go back!
A night to remember! from the moment when I went to this picturesque and welcoming restaurant, was a warm welcome to every face. the atmosphere was perfectly illuminated for an absolutely DELICIOUS court! bob, al di las owner was so courteous and friendly from the original reservation request to the free one from this world tiramisu! al di la hostess cymone brought her beautiful smile on the table to say so often, hallo and brandon was so attentive, sweet and friendly as he served our table. edible is an understatement! I can't wait to come back! Many thanks that they make a rare night so delightful! with much love, ashley
Our server was inexperienced but did the best he could. The bread was very good. Aside from that, every single dish we had was incredibly bland. I grew up working in an Italian restaurant. I have been to wild olive and Melfis. I am astounded this restaurant has surpassed 4 stars based on food quality alone. I ordered the bolognese, ate less than half of it, and chose to not get a box. I don’t wish ill on any restaurant, but they need to seriously improve their food.
I went to Al Di la last night for the first time in about two years. We were a party of 4 and all of us have been there several times over the years. I had heard it was under new management so we were not sure what to expect. Well we were all very disappointed. The menu has completely changed and was a lot smaller. The appetizers were good but all 4 main courses were truly awful for an authentic Italian restaurant. We unfortunately will not be going back. The place was also dead for a Saturday night but it was very bad weather out. We all walked out of there questioning whether or not this restaurant would be staying open. I will say that our server was nice as was the other staff we encountered.
Went to Al Di La back in March, we had been a few times and each time the quality of food dropped greatly. This last time was really unfortunate for me, my boyfriend and I got a pizza and some pastas to split neither of us liked the pizza but I nibbled on some of the meats on top while we waited for the rest of our food. I ended up getting food poisoning for the first time ever and have never felt so sick in my whole life. The gnocchi was okay, the pizza was eh, and the bolognese was the worst I’ve ever had. I’m not sure which one caused the food poisoning my guess would be the meat on the pizza because my boyfriend didn’t eat but one bite of it and I ate all the toppings off of it. Our server was very sweet and attentive.
