Starting with the hostess was not very pleasant. She was more interested in other locals than us. I ordered a bottle of champagne €180.00, came only limited cold and no Amuses Bouches! It's terrible for a restaurant like this and France. After that we gave our order to start with white asparagus and all arrived green. No apology or ask if it was a problem before putting them on the table. First, the price is different, but also the test! Would you excuse yourself? No... the warm Fois grass was boiled over. Our main courses were also not better, fillet of beef was not tender and my lamb was full of fat. The Scallops Risotto had only 2! In the end, nothing was really good for an expensive meal. Definitely not recommended.
If this restaurant had not been recommended by friends, we would probably not have tried it out, as from outside it looks like another old-fashioned French restaurant and a little dated around the edges. We arrived at the restaurant without a booking about midday, and it soon filled, so the booking would be advisable. The family was able to find us a table, and that was a happy find. The lunch menu at E19 proved to be an excellent value, and began with an amuse beech of a vegetable mousse, and an amazing beetroot ice cream, which certainly buds. The meal that followed was one of the best until today during the trip in this region............. and my choice was .local pate, cote du pork with a vegetable and beef sauce, and a very sharp lemon balm. There were many possibilities on this E19 menu. Would strongly recommend this restaurant.
