Bidra med feedbackI needed a good sub in uptown and a coworker recommended this place. I rarely go to the Latta Arcade because it is usually packed and the food is nothing to brag about. Yet, they said this place was good.Sadly, it was as expected. Nothing bad, but nothing to great. I got the Italian Chicken sub but without onions. I wish they would have told me the onion-pepper mixture contained all the flavor so I would have ordered something else. The sub bread was soft and the chicken was seasoned yet the sub as a whole was dry. The fries, however, were good. The search for a good sub continues.
Meatball sausage parmigiana is to die for (Edit 2023 not any more? .Staff is very friendly.
Great sandwiches and probably the best fresh cut fries in Charlotte.Sadly I have to update this review. The owners sold this place to the owners of Pie In The Sky and they've replaced the handcut fries with what I would have to guess is something that comes already cut to the store. I get that this review won't prompt them to change back, but it was legit my main reason for even going.
I have been going to Clover Joe’s for many years, and it is always been very good. It is now under new ownership, and it is better than ever! If you haven’t, you should go check it out!
I wanted to try a more local non chain restaurant for lunch, and have walked by here a number of times. I ordered a meatball sub to go. It was made to order and still got after a couple minute walk back to the office.8 inch meatball sub; it was decent. The meatballs are a mix of probably ground beef and pork, which was a saving grace. There wasn't much for seasoning and other flavor, so the natural flavor of the meat was all there was. Good amount of cheese and the bread was toasted. Only three meatballs on the sub; they were a decent size, but with the lack of flavoring,I would have liked to see a fourth meatball to fill out the sandwich. With tax it was just under $10. Honestly for the price I would definitely try other places before coming back again.
