Mr. Crab - Champaign

Absolutely outstanding. Super surprised at Mr. Crab's diversity. They are famous for Chinese, Chinese American and Cajun. Sheli doesn't like spicey food and can't eat onions or peppers. I like it all. Mr. Crab satisfied both of our needs. I had Cajun shrimp, king crab leg with corn on the cob a potato all steamed together in a tremendous Cajun sauce (3 of 4 peppers heat rating). Sheli had steamed shrimp and bay scallops with corn and a potato in a mild garlic butter sauce.The service was great, the restaurant was clean, our meals were on the table fast. Great owner and staff. Keep up the great work. I would drive 100 miles out of my way to dine here. One of the best Chinese restaurants in town if not the best! The flavor is very authentic Sichuan cuisine. We ordered steamed fish, hot spicy beef, stir fried green bean. We were very pleased with all of them.

We're not open at the correct time. Got sat at a table that was dirty asked to be moved so they loved us to another table and it was dirty as well. Tried a third table and my chair had something spilled on it. Building was disgusting. If the dining area is that dirty as someone who has worked in the food service industry for more than 26 years it terrifies me as to how dirty the kitchen is if the dining area is that unclean. Would never recommend anyone to go there!

I always get a crab boil from here, 1 pound crab, 1/2 shrimp with corn, potatoes and extra sausage (it comes with a 1/2 pound but i get extra . My boyfriend and I usually have left overs which we leave and to reheat just boil on the stove in the bag. They have delicious seafood and their sauce in the bag is amazing! super buttery and garlicky. highly recommend! it is usually ready super fast in about 20 minutes. :
