La Petite Plage - Chambon-sur-Lac

We tried to eat here for late lunch a few days earlier, but it was fully booked. We learned later that there are 2 lunches - lunch and 1:45. We reserved for lunch on Saturday and have something really wonderful food, under the canopy from the burning sun. The waiting staff are attentive, but not intrusive and we had a relaxed, pleasant lunch. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant overlooking Lac Chambon.

I'm alone in Chambon and ate here twice. Pleasant staff and a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains beyond. Service was efficient and not too fast and recommended to Gazpacho. He is busy around 19.30, so early arrive or book ....Not a cheap establishment, but good value for the standard and a welcome.

By my assessment, this should be the top restaurant in Chambon sur lac. It looks like any other bar/restaurant from outside and the menu on the display does not really believe that this could be a quality spot. I'm sure we were amazed when we put the food in front of us. For the starters, there were carpaccio of beef in a local style and a local salad that were both extremely well made. For the net we had both fish, fillets of Sole and Bream. Although the restaurant is nowhere near the sea, the fish was very fresh and tasty and was presented beautifully. Pudding was a house made sorbet and a house made cream caramel, both were very much a cut over the usual in France. We were very impressed by our restaurant.

Relaxing informal fine food in great location next to Lac Chambon. We received a warm professional welcome from the family team. The dishes were delicious and very well presented and made a nice change from the usual regional fair in the area! A great discovery... we will return!

Awesome! The owners are there all the time, it's a familiar restaurant/bar! They are so very kind and thoughtful!! Loved it!!! And the food is delicious!!! ;
