The Mountain - Ceske Budejovice

Absolutely love this place! After our wonderful hike up there from Česky Krumlov, it was a warm, inviting place to sit and and relax. We had their delicious pea soup and garlic cheese soup along with fried cheese. The croutons they added to the soups were outstanding; made out of dark bread instead of the typical white. Washed it all down with delicious local beer ! Yum!!! It was hard to leave this warm place knowing we had to hike all the way back down in the cold.

Great view after a long walk! You can see the Alps if the weather isn't bad! (Beware of ice formation on the ground in winter! Makes walking very slippery!

Fair prices and tasty beer. Trust me, you'll need that if ya walk up there.

Nice panoramatic view over Sumava, Novohradske hory and Alps. Cannot believe I have missed it for so long time. This building may be reached by lift, cycle or feet and it is great opportunity to spend the whoke day in nature and be looking forward to having the overview. I climb again.

The best place to visit when you have about 5 hours to spend in Český Krumlov. The hike here is nice and relaxing and the mountain restaurant has the best 'česňačka ' I have ever tasted. Overall, there is a great variety of food and drinks. My absolute favorite is pivo 'Kletak ', 'Smrkova ' lemonade and the Czech typical 'chleba se sadlem '. Also, the staff are all friendly and the outdoor seating offers nice views of the surrounding nature. home-made ginger tee is also quite tasty:
