Paluba - Ceske Budejovice

I was in paluba a few times and always rated it so high. Unfortunately, I feel that it has changed. either the menu or the products. I ordered the ginger limonade (which I know I love from there), but it came very different as it is usually. the sirup tasted very cheap and there was no fresh ginger inside. was really disappointed when it was a hot day. for the net I ordered a cheeseburger. that was great! but the waiting period was long. it was really busy this day! my friend is vegetarian and there was not much choice on the menu for him. For such a trendy location they would think they would have a great vegetarian menu. overall the decoration and the position on the river is beautiful.

Went because the place looks awesome and is beautiful indeed but that's pretty much it (at least for me) Little overpriced but makes sense since what you're paying there is the place and not the food itself. Staff is nice which is always a plus

Romantic cozy place placed above river. Definitely interesting place to visit. Romantic lights, a lot of plants that create cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was completely full on Friday evening in winter and I can imagine for it being even more full in summer. The menu is interesting, or at least if was for me. I recommend you to try halloumi cheese with Coleslaw salad. The meal was great and the portion was big for me. I asked the waitress to exchange the bread with some salad for me. It was possible to thump up for that!

Wasn't awful but just a bit disappointed as I had it hyped up as an amazing place by friends. I was expecting it to be a bit more fresh and higher quality. The wait was very long but I respect it was a busy Thursday evening. The food was pretty bland, it was grilled hallumi but the hallumi was a huge wedge so the centre is slightly raw, it was served on a bed of roasted carrots and parsnip, seasoned well but too oily in my opinion. I think it just isn't the best place for vegetarians The cheese burgers looked amazing almost all of the group I was with ordered them so I give respect for the long wait as I suspect 5 burgers at once is a bit annoying. The aesthetic is amazing especially in the heat, lovely open spaces and wonderful retro vibes.

Very good place to eat. Sits over the river with great views. The food was very tasty and they have large portion cocktails. We want to come back for sure. Lost a star due to forgetting to bring part of my order and being in no rush to fix it.
