Rifugio La Madia Sansicario

Nice place for lunch after all day on the sloop. Well designed building, helpful staff and good food.

The good here is good, not necessarily excellent, but certainly value for money. When the sun is shining, it shines right on the outdoor eating and you can really soak up the rays. Prices are more than fair for what you get, but doesn't quite have the attention to the food that other eateries give. All the same, we ate their twice, and when skiing in Sauze, will likely eat there again. Toilet is a hole in the ground though, so... better do that somewhere else.

The hamburgers were cold. We returned them once and got them back, cold again. They also served drinks in plastic cups. Do not come here!

Good food and drinks at reasonable prices great location stunning views but avoid at busy times if you want good service. Went there twice in a week, if you just want drinks then order from the bar tender and then directly move down the bar and pay the cashier at the other end. If you want food food and drinks then get a table and place order with waiter from the table. Remember your table number for paying later on at the till end of the bar (if your chosen table has a number attached to it). Their burgers are tasty and substantial , and I highly recommend the the Peroni Rosso and their Bombardinos. La Madia accepts both cards and cash, staff are good but are run off their feet unnecessarily due to the old fashioned ordering delivery paying system. I will return there soon for mid afternoon Bombardinos ! upon leaving its a short ski on an easy blue run down to Sansicario Alto .

Hideen gem! Ski here, right below the Baby Sansicario lift ends. Great food, great service, great music. 180 degrees sun drenched and windless.
