Staff: functioning, soulless, façade smiles Food : While the decor is classy, the food is not. We took Cesar's salad with gambas, pricy for a little dish. The gambas were like uncooked worms. Being a chef de cuisine myself I went ahead and made a complaint. I was given the explanation that they are meant to be like that. Since when gambas are supposed to NOT BE crunchy?? Have tried the pizza, OK. The coffee was sizzling hot, so it tasted burnt.. If it wasn't for the location I would have given a worse evaluation.
Un restaurant très chic et délicieux en bord de mer... clientèle plutôt branchée qui s'accorde avec le camping de luxe... La direction souhaite attirer une clientèle aisée.
We are staying at the campsite next door and saw this restaurant from the beach which looked appealing with a varied menu. It is a busy place so reserve) and we were not disappointed: the charcuterie board and bread was delicious as well as the 'poulpe ' octopus).. only disappointment was the vegetarian pizza which was too heavy on the cheese and light on the tomato sauce and vegetables. The drinks...apero spritz and wine were delicious. Lastly, the manager from La Rochelle was very professional.. serving the wine, asking for feedback etc. Not your cheapest paillotte to visit on your trip but well worth the stop!! Try to reserve in advance!
