Bidra med feedbackOur family of seven hiked up Mt. Brisbino from Cernobbio. We re-fueled at the restaurant with some excellent pasta dishes and beverages while sitting outside with views of the mountains and Switzerland. The food is very good and the views remarkable. A note of caution, if you decide to take a taxi from the restaurant back down, make sure you make arrangements before you start your hike up.
1000m above the stunning lake, with breathtaking views in all directions. Warm welcome, cosy atmosphere, 'real ' food that tastes fantastic.
We drove up the switch backs to the top of the hill behind Cernobbio and were pleasently surprised with what we found. While this is a restaraunt we only had the home made deserts and a drink and the jam tarts were worth the effort. There is a magnificent little museum with displays from a local who lived there during the war and his art work. The highlight of the visit for us was the small Church attached to the building. I imagine it was all a Church with the residence turned into a ristorante. The road to the top is very narrow and we did not ensounter many cars but passing can be a chellenge in some areas but dont let this deter you from making the trip. Cyclists also rfrequent this area so please be careful. The view from the top is nothing short of spectacular with views across Italy and Switzerland and the alps. Take a jumper or a jacket as it it is at about 1400 metres and it can be quite cool despite being 30 deg down at Lake Como.
Cibo ottimo, porzioni abbondanti, ambiente caloroso e familiare. Il proprietario è simpatico e molto cordiale. Ho mangiato un'ottima cassoeula!!
