Bidra med feedbackFood is very good. Servings are a nice size and the price is good.
Have had 3 great experiences here (2 with new ownership/branding--it used to be named Bella Sicilia). Service can be slow, but if you are willing to be patient, the food is fantastic--easily the best Italian food in the State College area.
I had a HORRIBLE experience!! We get there, my hubby me and my 1 1/2 year old. we order I asked to get my son chocolate milk.. they dont have it.. ok thats fine. Regular? Nope. Juice? nope. We only have Hi C punch for kids. Agh really? We order an app... first its pizza fries.... takes 20 mins to make (mind you we are the only people eating in and its 3pm) she comes with them puts the HOT plate in front of my son. The fries are burnt unsure emoticon food comes. puts HOT plate in front of son... his kids meal is so hot (chicken fingers) I cant even break it into pieces without burning my fingers. refills? HA drinks were empty because server never checked on us. We waited for our bill..... my son got antsy so we were playing with him while standing (no one was there) he started running around tables and just wanted to go. Girl stood behind register and watched us for another 10 mins (I should of said something... but i didnt want to blow up)... finally brought bill. So to make it worse... if you pay with card, they have the apple reader thing. My hubby couldnt input his own tip... it was already on for certain percents... walked out paying $60!!!! Over priced... bad service. Not kid friendly. server never smiled, wasn't friendly....
Very good pizza, certainly among the best in the area. Yancy's will become a habit, for sure. We also had lunch there a few weeks ago (burgers), and it was very good as well. Very reasonable prices too, and worth every penny. I highly recommend any fans of a good NY style pizza give Yancy's Italian Kitchen a try.
This restaurant was a huge letdown. Bella Sicilia used to be in this spot and we adored their pizza, affordable prices, and convenient location. However, our experience with their Sicilian pizza was regrettable - their version of a thick crust was simply two crusts stacked on top of each other. Not only was it disappointing, but it was also almost twice as expensive as the previous owners. We have no plans to return.
