Bidra med feedbackWhile traveling, we were in search of a budget-friendly restaurant and came across one with large portions of food on the tables. I ordered grilled chicken with chips and salad (rice was not an option), while my husband chose lasagne with salad (no chips). Unfortunately, after a 15-minute wait, we were disappointed with our meals. I received a small portion of grilled chicken with only 22 chips, and the salad was drenched in vinegar. The lasagne was also small, and the salad was prepared in a similar manner. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling hungry and dissatisfied. We do not plan on returning as we found the prices to be high and the quality of the food to be poor.
Formerly known as Tans Cafe, this establishment has elevated itself from a typical greasy spoon cafe. The cafe is now run by a friendly couple who provide attentive service. The set breakfast options are diverse and priced at a reasonable £5.50. I opted for set breakfast 5, which turned out to be the largest breakfast I've ever had. The meal also came with toast and coffee. My wife chose a simple sausage sandwich with coffee. Overall, the food was excellent value, well-prepared, and served with great attention.
The restaurant has changed its name to "Tan's Cafe". It is considered overpriced as most breakfast items only come with one sausage, egg, and bacon. My order was also incorrect. Many people in the cafe were not eating, but rather talking loudly in a foreign language with each other and the cook. This created an unpleasant dining atmosphere. The food was decent. Please note that they only accept cash for payment.
Went here for a breakfast before going to the train station. Really enjoyed it, very good with good service. Good value as well.
Breakfast was what we thought it would be. coffee was ok, toast included. value for money. As good as we wanted.
