From Merida Mayaland bus tour bus to Celestun for River Boat tour to see flamingoes and mangrove area. Then stop at restaurant on beach for a swim and lunch.A fantastic day with a Mexican family that had grand daughter Karen who was learning to speak English and so I became part of this large family group that included Jorges 1 and Jorges 2 and Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts, Mothers, fathers, kids , cousins and siblings. The boat ride was fun, did not see a lot of birds up close but walk through wildlife area on boardwalk saw viper, spiders, bubbling ocean water. The beach was great. The food at restaurant was good and the whole day was fun and the family asked if I wanted to go to Museum of Anthropology in Merida too as Dzilbilchaltun Cenote was closed and the museum was great!I hope that Karen emails photos she took of Museum to me.Lila
Wow, one word to describe the food in this place. Everything we ordered was really good and we did order lots of different things from the menu. A little bit on the price side, but worth it. The place is a hard to get, you have to be patient and have someone that knows how to get there, but highly recommend this restaurant.
Always our first stop when we get into town. Very friendly, family run (3 generations) restaurant. There's just something special in the breading they use and everything they serve is fresh, fresh, fresh! Nothing beats a cold beer, some ceviche or a shrimp cocktail at a table on the beach just watching the sun set and the fishing boats come in.
