Hilltop Steak - Cedar Vale

This is a little gem! The staff was so personable and nice. The food was amazing! HOMEMADE! LOVED IT!

Stopped in here on a whim and it was well worth it. My hamburger was delicious! Service was excellent and the old wooden floors made rustic atmosphere. Of course, all the ranch brands were pretty darn cool also.

First off, it didn't look like a restaurant, more like a home. Nice and quiet at 2PM on a Monday. Ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy. It came with texas toast, and arrived no more than 10 minutes later. No lack of good flavor. I judge most downhome restaurants by their chicken fried steak, and it is high on the list. It isnt huge like some, but it is a tenderized steak, not just a hamburger patty. Also, the unsweet tea is strong even with a cup full of ice. Service is sweet and excellent. Assume a good tip will be left.

Excellent place to go for lunch. The restaurant is clean, the employees are very friendly and the food is delicious
