Kingston's Steakhouse - Cedar Rapids

Kingstons is my favorite steakhouse in the area! I love the bread and butter before the meal the most!

The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, the house salad very good, BUT, my steak was suppose to be a ribeye but more like a sirloin, very little marble. The steak was inedible due to the salt and pepper added and gave it back as I lost my appetite. Just because the prices are high doesn't mean the food is amazing. We were sat at a dirty table and paper and assorted trash on the floor. I'll try an inexpensive burger with the gift card and see if they can get that right.

We ate in the back bar. Christa was working. We love Christa!! We shared an excellent prime rib! The Greek salad was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Took 10 mins before our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders. Then another 10mins go get our drinks. Never got bread. About 25 mins in he got our appetizer order. We got the Volcano tots. They came out timely however we waited another 20 mins for him to take our order. The tots were good still no bread. We sag with empty drink cups. Our food finally came out and my steak was decent. The kickin Mac and cheese was good I tried to order a second drink. At this point my steak is eaten food is almost done and he brings the bread. WtH I asked him what was up and he just laughed. Then he brought my drink. My husband had issues wirh his plate the he never came back to even ask. Longest and most painful dinning experience. Thankful we weren't in a hurry. He just did a very very poor job. We spent a nice penny he didn't even acknowledge or offer a discount for his negligence. Just want to be able to go somewhere for a nice meal and get good drinks and service.

Delicious prime rib and loved the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks. Only negative is that our table and chairs had seen better days could use a tablecloth or a fresh coat of paint.
