Akita Hibachi Sushi - Cedar Hill

My first visit the place looked closed. It seems the entrance is not as obvious to me at least Tried again when in area and it was good. Service was also good. Servings were fair, prices also fair. We’ll eat there again if in area. Sorry I thought it was closed first time. Maps said it was closed but I did not look real close as I was in area and assumed it would open at 11:00am but it looked closed. Seems most people park on other side of building.

Typically I enjoy a lunch special from Akita, however today I was highly disappointed that I order a lunch special online and paid for it, and then they called and said they could not honor it because it was now lunch time. I paid for y meal during lunch time (12:21) and the website told me to pick up at 3:30. So while on my way to pick up my food, I am getting a call saying they were not open. Typically, when they were not open, the website will not let me order at all. This time, I assumed they had such a busy schedule because of black friday. I feel that if my meal was bought and paid for during lunch hours and confirmed through email, then they should have Honored it. Instead they wanted me to pay the $11 difference between lunch and dinner. Black Friday is not a holiday, so the only reason I believe they were closed is to not allow people to get a lunch special anyways. But as a regular customer, this was a complete turn off and disappointment.

Sushi was fantastic and so was the hibachi! I would definitely go back.

The food was not only delicious but also authentically reminiscent of the flavors I've enjoyed in real Japan

My family has eaten here on several different occasions, and the food is always delicious. We came last night for my birthday and the service was excellent. We had hibachi and the flavors and whole experience were lovely. We also ordered sushi rolls and they were fresh and beautiful. I highly recommend this spot for a nice meal out.
