Loads of korean restaurants have opened but Kaya remains to be number 1 for me Its not unli/unlimited I am normally after pork belly (GOOD QUALITY PORK BELLY) They serve you different kinds of banchan (korean side dishes) but my favorite is their pajeon (korean pancakes) dipped in their korean sweetsoy sauce with onions. They grill the meat in front of you as you enjoy stuffing yourself with their banchans. They serve different kinds of soju, you can try them all. Once the meat is perfectly grilled, they will let you know and you can start having your mains. They serve you ssamjjang sauce, sesame oil and salt. Dip in wherever you fancy or have it as it is. Succullent pork and perfectly grilled by the experts. You can have it with rice or wrapped in lettuce or just go all protein They serve beef too. Accepts card and cash. Please take note that they have air vents for the smoke when food is being grilled but expect the place to be smoky
Dont bother coming here. Worst customer service especially if you’re a local. The waiters are rude will only attend to foreigners. The side dishes were bland at best and the meat are mediocre. Save yourselves the money and trouble. ZERO FREAKING STAR.
Went to this place at 6:30pm, it’s now 8pm and we’re still here waiting definitely my fault for waiting! BUT I want to make a few points! There were reservations on the table with times on it and even after 30 minutes they’ve kept the table and even one group arrived 1 hour late!!! there should be a grace period of 30minutes max. People who arrive super late should then be added to the qeueue!!! I don’t understand how it’s acceptable to accept guests who are an hour late during a super busy time! 2nd at least give your guests an estimate time! I can see all staff are working super hard and seems like they are understaffed and running around like headless chicken attending to a super busy restaurant. Looking at the prices on the menu they should definitely provide a better service. At this point, we have now waited for over an hour and a half. No one asking how we are or giving estimate time. Everyone just manic busy. To the management if you claim to be awarded as the new best restaurant in Cebu IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE! I will continue to wait for my turn since I’ve already wasted an hour and half and all our group are HANGRY but even if the food is good i don’t think that will make us feel better. IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE!!!! UPDATED: So after 2 hours, we were given a table. Honest review of the food: It’s great! We ordered their dry aged sirloin and some pork and they were all cooked to perfection by the lovely staff who attended and helped us on the table. All the side dishes were also very good except the kimchi. To be honest food wise this is one of the best korean bbq i’ve tried. Would i go back here? Probably not. I also found out that the other guests across our table were also over an hour late which of course they still prioritised. Management needs to do something and improve reservations and walk in service.
Portion, Quality Price. The Holy trinity when Eating out to get the best bang for your buck. 1st for the Portion A bit sad on this one regarding portion because the menu that they showed was misleading showing an image of so many cuts. If they serve by grams then they should say so in the menu than rely on the images very misleading. 2nd for the Quality There is no denying that the cuts they DO serve (although misleading) is of quality, even with the sides they serve. 3rd for Price Price is... Debatable. Quality cuts don 't come cheap and Cheap cuts aren 't of quality, but my only issue is how not having a label of how much grams per serving can justify the amount you 're getting regardless of quality. Take these in mind foodies if you ever want to try and visit them. Goes to show the saying of Dont judge a book by its cover
The menu is misleading. They should have informed their customer that they are serving per gram and not just say 'we serve ala carte '. We really thought that we will get the portion on what the picture they have for the menu. They should put the grams on their menu.
