Santocildes - Castrocontrigo

Constant Companion and I were en route with Chef and Host to a culinary holiday in Pozos. Chef picked us up in Astorga and stopped by several places including a bakery, butcher shop, bodega, and Santocildes. Our deviation here was to get some of their chocolate, which Chef described as made in the family for generations and authentic . Obviously, that was the objective of everyone else as many locals were stopping by to pick up some chocolate on their way home! Wow, if you are doing the Camino, or are anywhere near Castrocontrigo, it will be worth the effort to find this place. Really, really good chocolate!!! Delicioso!!!

Bueno, decir que ahora el bar ya no está operativo y funciona solo como tienda. Solo conocido por los que somos de la zona, uno de los productos más desconocidos de León. El mejor chocolate del mundo, en polvo o tableta, da igual. Amplia variedad

Un trato muy amable y familiar. no te puedes ir sin comprar una tableta de chocolate negro, con frutos rojos, con miel, etc huuuuuummmmmmmm! Riquísimo todo.
