Bidra med feedbackWe decided to go out to dinner after reading raving reviews about this place on Yelp!. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is a mixture of clean, colorful modern, decor along with classic Indian artifacts. The walls and the seating reminded me of Indian spices such as roasted turmeric and green cardamoms! Very nice touch indeed! We settled down and ordered samosas for an appetizer. Each of the samosa’s crust was golden brown and not overcooked (That was a very good sign). The potato stuffing was lightly flavored and tasted great! I would definitely order that again. We ordered Saag Paneer, Daal Makhani and a basket of 4 vegetarian naans. We asked the hostess to make our food medium hot. The Daal and the Saag Paneer were very tasty but definitely needed more heat. I would have to ask them to punch it up a bit the next time I go. Our bread basket comprised of the fenugreek (methi) naan, the aloo paratha, and the hara bhara (green) naan and the pezaa naan. The first three were simply delicious. I honestly could have just had those for my meal and be completely satisfied. The pezaa naan (cheese, onions and dry fruits) was not to my liking. It tasted a bit too much of the onion. I would not be ordering that again. The two ladies that were sitting next to us happened to look over to see what we had ordered. We struck up a conversation and found out that they were regulars at this place. They too said the food here is generally served mild, which definitely needs to be spiced up! My overall recommendation is that this place is definitely worth multiple visits and think it is one of the best places to taste Indian flavors. I am even considering getting food catered from this place at my parties in the future.
