O Carocho - Castro Marim

Had a great experience here. They were out of the coquilas but the almejas were excellent. A cup of the soup of the day was split pea and absolutely delicious for a chilly winter day, and only 2€! The grilled dorada was everything it should be and flan for desert... so glad we went here!

Comida excelente. Atendimento excelente. Preço aceitável para um espaço a poucos metros da praia no Algarve. Se estivesse geograficamente noutro contexto seria caro. Ambiente bastante acolhedor (Em Março. Voltarei em finais de Julho para reavaliar).

Tive uma ótima experiência aqui. Eles estavam fora das coquilas, mas as almejas eram excelentes. Uma xícara de sopa do dia era de ervilha e absolutamente deliciosa para um dia frio de inverno, e apenas 2€! A dorada grelhada era tudo o que deveria ser e pudim de sobremesa.

I'm very sorry if this sounds like a blanket type generalisation but after lots and lots of Spanish restaurants in touristy places, the simplicity, the honesty and the quality here was like a breath of fresh air : honest food, honest people, fantastic meal with...a good bottle of wine, felt a bit like eating at home with family and food your mum would cook. A clear menu with clear prices, no sorry we are out of that but I can recommend you THIS then being fed something they want to get rid of... I cannot recommend this place enough. Eat here if you can, you will appreciate it. Even the cakes and pies in the dessert display looked and tasted like they were home made from scratch.

Good place for snacks, breakfast, sandwich or local cuisine, lots of local people, prices are very good and place is clean
