Spice Lounge Canvey - Castle Point

My wife and myself have just had lovely Indian meals My wife and myself we're welcomed by miz and Naz . We had 2 meat platter's excellent. Main meals of chicken Tikka jalfrezi plus mushroom Rice. Plus mushroom bhajee and garlic naan. Glass of white wine . excellent meals we Will go back to the restaurant soon . thankyou to All the team. Fluffy Essex.

We had another fantastic evening at the spice lounge restaurant . We arrived and was welcomed by washam excellent waiter and the owner of the spice lounge.Naz I am disabled and nothing is to much trouble for the team the restaurant is always clean and always plays Indian music and the music is so relaxing. We had another fantastic meal chicken Tikka starters The presentation is excellent the chicken is always tender. We then had the Best chicken Tikka bhunas. We have been using Indian restaurants for over 40 year's and this meal was one of the best. Pilau Rice was so fresh garlic naan bread and mushroom bhajee excellent. The whole evening was excellent as usual the team make you feel so special . The restaurant is so lovely excellent food excellent team We would like to say thankyou to the chef we recommend the restaurant. fluffy Essex.

My wife and I have recommended the spice lounge restaurant by friends . Yes and we found the spice lounge restaurant excellent The food was fantastic we both had chicken Tikka starters excellent. Then for our mains we both had chicken Tikka dupiza. Mushroom rice All very tasty and well presented The team in the restaurant we're all great.i am disabled and nothing was to much trouble for Ali and the team Excellent Indian food excellent service excellent price 50% off 27 pounds only this includes a Glass of wine. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. To answer the phone and just say “what” and be rude and abrupt. Left me waiting on the phone for over six minutes while pfaffing about in the background is unacceptable as I only wanted to book a table. And takeaways have taken two hours for delivery before. Needless to say I have booked somewhere else for Saturday night !!! fuming !!!!! Rude !!!!!

Was driving through canvey on our way back to Hampshire after spending a day in Southend. Nearly drove past but saw the signs in the window for 50% off so decided to give it a try and it was also boasting a 5 hygiene rating. I ordered a starter of prawn puree whist my wife had lamb tikka. My main was a lamb madras wife lamb bhuna, also one portion of chips and a garlic naan, two small orange juice . We had to ask 3 times for poppadoms. The food was very meagre and rather bland and the menus were sticky and rather disgusting, the waiters didn't seem to want to be there! On a note of my prawn puree, I always have this as a starter and have eaten these in many many Indian restaurants across the UK. Never ever have I had it served this way! A dry crisp pancake with the few prawns not inside the pancake but placed separately at the side. Now for the reason of my review, when it was time to pay the waiter didn't bring the bill but instead asked us to go to the counter where he proceeded to tap figures into the calculator, then he told us that will be £35. we never saw the bill and as we were tired with a 90mile journey still in front of us we just paid and left for home. It was only the next day when my wife mentioned the price that we realised we had been ripped of big time. £35 half price!!! I don't think so!
