Del Casot - CASTELL'ALFERO

We found this delightful restaurant in 2013 while staying in the area. A trip back to Piemonte would just not be complete now without another return visit. The food is still wonderful and the welcome still warm and the service still excellent. We love this place!

We were guided to this restaurant by our hotel. The pasta with white truffles and the two other dishes with truffles we ordered, were brought straight to our table directly from the kitchen with the truffles already grated! When you pay €45 for a dish, you expect them to come to your table and grate the truffle in front of you. The bill at the end, was not specific of drinks and prices were calculated, we guessed, upon owner's mood. We told our hotel and they said that they had had several guests' complaints already... We will definitely not go back.

Probably the owner changed. Unfriendly service. Food not really good but quite high prizes. In a piemontese restaurant we got no cheese for desert. Inappropriate for vegetarians.

Traditional dishes but also modern revisitations. high quality ingredients, also very good wines. friendly service. portions not always generous but only to allow you to take more choices and try 360* the local cuisine. We stayed in this place to celebrate an opportunity. we were a table but we all served together the same way (which is not discounted when taking different dishes. all are ocytes satisfied and at several hours away I can say that nothing remained on the stomach confirming good food!

In addition to the good kitchen (refinished and very Gothic) we had the pleasure of being served by a attentive and kind room staff. really recommended
