Bidra med feedbackHad been there three times in summer 2014 or 2015. It was very hot those days and the waiter had bottles of cold still and sparkling water when he made me seat. I didn't even asked for it yet which was very pleasant cos I would have asked for it straight away. The food was always excellent as was the service provided by the staff. Been there with my family which we have been taken care of excellently by the waiting staff. Will definitely go back there next time I go to Italy.
During our stay in Santa Maria, we dined in L'lsola della Sirene twice. On both occasions the food was fantastic, the staff friendly and easygoing. We dined outside on the terrace on both nights. On the waiter's recommendation we had the seafood special. The first night is was seafood paccheri , which is large pasta flat tubes in a fish sauce topped with a huge amount of seafood. I counted atleast 8 large prawns, mussels and clams. It was delicious and we asked for more bread to mop up the juices. The second night we had seafood risotto. The rice was cooked perfectly, not soggy and was again topped with a very generous portion of prawns, mussels and clams. This was excellent simple fresh food, perfectly cooked and presented and great value.
We found this restAurant by mistake on our way to castellabate. We have eaten at most of the places around here and found this simple, friendly, great food and very inexpensive. We had seafood, fish and vegetables all excellent. Thank you Michele.
Everything was really fine when we have been in L'Isola restaurant in Castellabate...starting with the location of it, being followed by the offering of a very good service, also friendly people and an amazing food...we are looking forward to be there again!
Just on the outskirts of S.Maria di Castellabate towards Agropoli is this beautiful hillside restaurant, that overlooks the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful unfortunately we did not got their names. Every dish that was served to us was excellent although they do not do pizzas they have a range of anti pasti, 1st 2nd courses both meat and fish, side dishes, pastas and also do hamburgers hot dogs as well as the popular panini, ll done to perfection. A good range of beverages both non-alcoholic and alcoholic are also available. We only ate here twice as we were not staying locally but were further down the coast at Casal Velino after our 1st meal there we enjoyed it so much we had to go back so went on our last day in Italy. On both our visits the chef even came out and spoke to us personally to see if everything was ok. An after dinner liquour to try other then the popular limoncello is finochietto which has a faint liquorice taste, (I actually brought some back to the UK with me but unfortunatley it only lasted the week with everyone else wanting some) This is a retaurant I will certainly go back to in the future when we venture to Campania again. I can give a sample of the menu to those who want to know as I brought one home with me.
