Anker Inn Smokehouse - Cassville

Slip Slip Slippin away. Hadn't been to Anker for a while so we went there for a date night. My french fries were the highlight of both our meals. I ordered the brisket, I was going to get a baked potato with it and then I noticed that if you want butter or sour cream with it you have to pay extra! What next, extra charge for ketchup for my fries? The brisket was lacking flavor, the barbecue sauce was definitely vinegar forward. My mac and cheese was soupy not very cheezy. My wife ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, normally she loves it. She didn't even eat half. She said the bun was the best part. Our waiter was excellent. Brought refills and checked on us often. He was the shining star over a not great experience.

Absolutely delicious BBQ!!! Worth a drive. Friendly staff, good beer selection, fantastic smoked meats. All on the beautiful Great River Road.

Great BBQ. Food is great and nice folks. Great carryout service as well. Do not miss out on the best KC Style BBQ in Wisconsin. Along the river and close to the ferry so make it a destination visit. Limited seating so make a reservation. Nice bar too. Don't miss this one.

Can't wait to go back...it's a drive from my house but it's worth a drive I got brisket and it was awesome,you don't even need any sauce on it how great taste it is , but sauce was good to .service was good and friendly..even with all corona scare they are as friendly as you can find...don't wait go and try food ..you won't be sorry for driving there..thank you for such great meal.

We went in for their Saturday night prime rib special at 6pm...they were out! We then changed our order and minutes later waitress came back and said they were out of hashbrowns...Seriously!
