Bidra med feedbackOur trip to the serra golf hotel ran over the new year and “Junge” this was a great New Year look. the hotel has a gala dinner with menu to fit any exclusive restaurant in half board package. the icing on the cake marilia dias, the manager organized taxis to take guests after funchal to watch the new year fireworks display. the whole city was illuminated with a 10 minute fabulous display, perfectly timed and spectacular location with the cruise ships dug in the bay.
We ate in avo micas for four nights when we were on half board in the hotel. every evening we were very satisfied with the choice and quality of eating. there is a large selection of appetizers, including three different homemade suppers that were delicious. Among the most important curses are local specialties such as scabbard fish with bananas and a passion fruit sauce cooked, or skewered bark with maize cubes. the thunfish of my wife at one night was exceptional, and my tagliatelle with mushrooms also very good. desserts were also very good - we were especially pleased with the simple cream brulee, the mandel and Custard tar and the tiramisu the weelist is small, but the house red and white of decent quality. the glasses of madeira in the living room at the fire after dinner were very relaxing. the personal was excellent and attentive. our rating is based on the very competitive half board we were offered.
The restaurant of the hotel portobay serves simple farewell from excellent ingredients – including the shy fish, the duck, the mush and the pork. good house wines on glass, excellent brot. fast and consistent service
