Bidra med feedbackWent with a large group of vegans (everyone was a first timer, except a pair). Almost everyone ordered something different so we were able to try a variety of dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, came hot, and huge portions for such a reasonable price. Another review was that the menu was not well marked, but every dish tells you exactly what is in it, so we found that helpful. The couple we were with had previously instructed us that you could make almost every dish vegan only by asking. None of us used this, but it was great to know the next time. Can't over how tasteful everything was!!
In a city with so many Indian restaurants, the little things can really make a difference. For me, if vegan options are selected on the menu. They're not here. The staff seems to be knowledgeable about their menu and what items are vegan, but I prefer to find this information on the menu so that I can be ready to order when the server arrives. I ordered some of my favorite Indian dishes and they were fine. Some of the spices were not on my personal preferences, but not so much that it kept me from enjoying my meal. The shares were more than fair for pricing. I asked my partner how he would be (non-vegetarian) eating and he gave him a glowing 4 stars. I asked him how he would rate mine and he said 3 stars. So this can be something to consider when you go with a group of people who are not all ordered vegan.
Sherpa's mother treated. Do I need more? I don't need and shouldn't, and yet I will. Pour a vegan chow on your esophagus and you will win the strength of 1000 Buddhas. Eat a momo or fifty and you will win the strength of 20,000 Yetis. I ask you to condemn this wisdom.
Love the food. Try authentic. Huge portions, reasonable prices. Almost all Veg Entrees are under $10
I drive all the way from Durham to get this, a favorite. There are many items that are vegan, and just let them know if you are because some of the vegetarian items can be vegan also. We get chana saag without the cream... sometimes just saag which is not on the menu. They are very accommodating. Definitely try the chow-chow and momos.
