Ive been full time traveling since November 2022. OF all the places I have stayed this is the best! Stunningly beautiful, sites have ample room in between and some have full hookups although most have only electric and water. A lot of the sites on the outside of the loop on the water have sewer hookups. I stayed in site 10 and I am right on the water. My lab loves to swim and no one bothered me about him off leash and swimming. The hiking trail was the through the surrounding forest and if you chose to do the entire five mike hike it will take you to the lake/dam overlook. Everything is taken care of including the basketball court, the playground, the restrooms and pavilions. There is an area for church services for those of you that partake. If you stay on the wet side of the campground you have cell service. Not so much on the east facing side because it sits down below the rest of the campground. I have T-Mobile and could steam with no interruptions. Reserve on Recreation.gov site. 50% discount for those with a senior pass. For me it was only $30 a night. The hosts at the office so friendly and helpful. One of the best stays I have ever had! (ps no laundry is the only downside)
Kathey and I stayed 3 days and nights here and it was a great experience. Clean, plenty of room, love the lake and wildlife.we recommend it
The Marina:. Boats needed cleaned and the upholstery and seats tore up. When their website is down long term, there 's usually a reason. We rented a pontoon in July, and when we saw the condition, tried to go to the other marina, and we 're told "no refunds "Marina is run down. One of our guest got locked in the men 's room. Owner had to get tools to get him out.Gas pumps were shut down. Part of this may be from political funding. Fed versus State
