The Chequers - Carterton

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I ordered the beef cheeks and cheese board, both of which were delicious and I would definitely order them again. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly. The only minor issues were that the carrots were a bit undercooked for my liking and the grapes were not the best quality. Lovely family lunch here the other day. Fish and chips better than by the sea! Perfectly crispy non greasy batter lovely fish and the chips just how I like them all served with peas and tartar sauce. Lovely atmosphere and deco we will be visiting again soon.
