Amazing experience in the heart of the mountain thanks to this wonderful place and its people. Everything was absolutely perfect and the atmosphere is reality magical ! We espacially enjoyed the amazing homade food, the nature around, the warm welcome we recieved from this kind family host and all the help they provided to us when we broke our car un the middle of nowhere : Highly recommended

The place is really nice and everyone is extremely welcoming but I was hoping for the food to be better. The trout was dry and the fries were frozen. There are some many nice things one could do with fresh trout...

Wonderful restaurant! Excellent service and the most delicious trout basket ever. The Agua Dulce con leche is also absolutely delicious. The ambience is Darling, with hummingbirds and plants everywhere. Very recommended!!!

We have been living in Costa Rica for almost a year and I admit that is the best soda in the country. Hospitality, attention, quality of food, portion size, attention to details, decor and atmosphere are one of a kind. Value you get in Doña Marlen is unbeatable, combined with the most delicious Trucha we have tried and the view. I highly recommend looking over here after a long hike and eating after a big lunch or an early dinner. You have taken all precautions when it comes to Kovid-19: the place is sterile, everyone wears a mask, your temperature is measured. So if you travel during this unusual Kovid season, please stop and pick up your mouthwater trout dish and help a local store. We'll be back next week when we go back to Santa Teresa!
