Bidra med feedbackThe bar at this restaurant is nice, but don't expect traditional Italian bruschetta with vine-ripened tomatoes or fresh fruit on your pancakes (they use jam instead). The food is decent if you're hungry, but it doesn't quite reach a four-star level. However, the dishes are edible and generally enjoyable. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere may persuade you to stay in and dine on site.
We dined at this restaurant on Sunday night, and we have visited many times in the past. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow, with other customers who arrived after us being served before us. When our food finally arrived, it was very disappointing and did not meet the usual standard we are accustomed to. We ordered dessert and waited for about 30 minutes before inquiring about the delay. We were informed that our desserts had been taken to the wrong table, resulting in an additional 15-minute wait. The staff were apologetic, but this experience just didn't live up to our expectations.
We visited here on Saturday 4th July which was the first weekend that the restaurant and bar reopened. Upon arrival we followed the new one way system into the bar and before we entered the hostess explained the new processes and obtained our contact details. All of this was done is a very quick, friendly and professional manner. We were then taken to our table which had plenty of distance from all other tables. In fact the whole bar was set up in a excellent manner with lots of space and comfort for everyone. Once seated our drinks and food orders were taken. Again the quality of service here was excellent. The food was nice and well presented. There was just the right gap between courses and we never felt rushed. All in all a good first night out in the new normal .
Excellent value for money, good food and excellent staff. we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with a good wine list
The restaurant was very quite when I visited. My starter was good but the main course was a disaster. I ordered pork. What came was a huge strip of belly pork that was crispy of the flesh side and soggy on the skin side. It was served with a very un-inviting potato dish, it looked like it has once resembled dauphinois potatoes, but with two rings section cut from it then slapped in a ramekin dish (or left offers) If you stay there then maybe stick with bar food
