Tesoro - Carrboro

We have always had great experiences at Tesoro. The servers are friendly and well-informed. The food is always excellent, and the wine list complements the menu perfectly. The homemade pasta and sauces are exceptional and very satisfying. I have never had better pasta anywhere else. The focaccia is a must-try. Tonight we tried a special Croatian donut that was absolutely delicious!

Tesoro is currently the top restaurant in Carrboro/Chapel Hill. The food is genuine and tasty, and their wine selection is consistently fantastic. Their approach is straightforward and unpretentious, just as you would expect from a top-notch local pasta restaurant. In addition, their staff is superb and dedicated to the community. My husband and I were fortunate to introduce our family to Tesoro during our wedding rehearsal dinner, and they are still talking about the amazing dishes. A heartfelt thank you to the Tesoro team for creating wonderful memories already, and we look forward to many more in the years to come!

I found a dead fly in my wine, and when I informed the server, they gave me a spoon instead of replacing the glass. Disgusting! The portions were small and the food was forgettable. The atmosphere was cute, but I will not be returning.

Last meal in Carrboro after two years living there and definitely the best one! It's amazing to see how the chef treats the ingredients! With such care and love... And you can definitely taste it! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was very romantic. Being from Spain and growing so close to Italy I know how to recognise real Italian food and this one was as good as a neighbourhood trattoria in Rome. Thank you so much for that experience!

The best place in Carrboro hands down. We have lived in Chapel Hill for two years and this has become our number one restaurant. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just enjoying good food. Everything from the focaccia bread, to the buccatini pasta, to the olive oil cake is incredible. They always have great new pastas and desserts to try and we've never had anything bad here. I couldn't recommend this place more, it's an absolute gem of a local spot with amazing people working throughout.
