Bidra med feedbackStart to finish a bad culinary experience. Shown for our reservation and was led to a table in the back where someone else eats. 10 minutes later got a high top on the window. It took over an hour to get salad and a soggy crust pizza that slipped off the beats when we tried to get it. The laborious waitress from front ignored us or was protective. Overpriced for the quality of food and service!
I have seen some less than stellar reviews posted, but all I can say is that from the beginning to the end, food in Cantinetta Luca provided a beautiful culinary experience. The personalized service and excellent authentic Italian cuisine are unequal. Great restaurant.
The food was good, the service was slow. But when we got our check, we saw that they charged us $40 for tap water... They didn't tell us that water wasn't free, nor do you tell us if they were refilling our water, it would cost us extra. The bottles were not branded or had a sign of being worth 7 dollars each. Overall, a really bad taste in the mouth was so hurled. Will not return and would not recommend unless you pay tons of money for tap water.
The place is really good. We got a table without reservation. The hostess was very nice. We ordered the pizza and ravioli. The dough of the pizza was great! The tomato sauce a bit spicy fir my taste but Ok overall. The ravioli were awesome. And the tiramisu was one of the best I had! If you are in Carmel go to this place!
We had such a good dinner here! We first learned about this place when doing a Carmel food tour (which I also highly recommend). We got to try the tiramisu, and my husband loved it so much, he said we had to come back. We finally made it back, and it was worth every penny. There was a line before they opened, and they stayed packed the whole time we were there. I ordered the Margerhita pizza and my husband ordered their porterhouse. My pizza was amazing, but the porterhouse was one of the best we've ever had. They brush it with balsamic and olive oil, which gives it such an umami twist. Our server, Mario, was beyond amazing. We ordered our steak blue, but it came out medium. When we told Mario, he looked at it and immediately took it away. We got another that was cooked perfectly. He also made wonderful wine recommendations. The tiramisu was even better than last time. They do specials as well, and have different flavors to entice anyone. They also do in house meats, like salami and coppa, which change regularly. If you get the chance, you should absolutely try this place after some fun wine tasting or shopping.
