Delizio - Carlton

The dining experience was pleasant, but not outstanding. The ambiance of the beautiful exterior drew us in, and we enjoyed a glass of lovely wine with our dinner. I ordered the gnocchi, which had a fantastic texture, though I couldn't taste much of the Gorgonzola in the sauce. It was still delicious. My friend had a steak, which they thought was very good, but their chips were overcooked and dry. The bread was excellent.

We were persuaded to dine here by Jamie, who did an excellent job all evening. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious. Other patrons, including some Kiwis, also agreed that the dining experience was fantastic.

We were looking for wood-fired pizza n went in delizio in lygon. very disappointed. order two appetizers n lasted more than 50 minutes waiting. the food was under the average. pizza didn't come fired wood because the pizza base was totally burned. it was dark...n black. I wondered why it could be from the cook out of the kitchen. we were not the only table seats in the restaurant waiting for eating.

We chose this restaurant online by checking travel advisors and viewing the menu. we booked for Sunday night. when we arrived, it was hard to find how they were between restaurant names/renovation. the decor inside was beautiful and fresh/modern. we were...then we advise that 2 dishes were not available, one of them was why we decided there! that was very disappointing, but we stayed for something else. 3 of 4 of the courts were good, the 4th was very blanching and it was just a basic carbonara. the staff was very good, friendly and attentive, we had not long an empty drink. the owner offered his apologies and a free dessert dish. that was very nice of him and we all had to share the dessert. but the tiramisu was far too strong, too much coffee. the fig was sensational, so we were all very happy.

FAB dinner! Wish I loved in Melbourne so I could keep going back here! Staff were helpful and friendly (Jamie is a great asset), and the food was to die for. My partner and I both had pizzas which were beautiful. Would be good to...have more beers on tap, but it's only just started up. Would love to go back and have some of the pastas! Well done guys x
