Bidra med feedbackWe have lunch here on our way to Allentown from SC. The small independent restaurant is conveniently located directly from I-81. We sat fast and ordered our drinks. My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak Hoagie with chips and in-law. Very good. I had pigs and herb. Head up... this is not served in the traditional way. The herb is mixed with a small amount of shredded pork. Seasoned ok but needs more meat. The broccoli and the Rotskin potato salad were great. Excellent service. Great stop!
Boomers seem to love the place. I'm a little younger than that, but I have an old soul. The number of people who give us a thumb and say it?s the wait was encouraging. I had the turkey with filling. Next time, I'd be less serious because it was very salty. The meat and filling were great. You have real potatoes? Are we? The use of potato flakes is the sign they do not try. My wife had breakfast pancakes and bacon and she shaved about it, especially the bacon. The place was packed in 2022? That's pretty good! The prices were reasonable. Next time definitely try BBQ or Seafood!
Was in a nearby motel for business and heard an employee recommend the meat here. SO Of course I'm with my staff and had dinner there. I had the 3 way BBQ sampler with ribs, brisket and texas meatloaf. It was the best meat I ever had! The brisket was also very delicate and tasteful. I wasn't too sharp on the ribs, but they weren't too bad and fell out of the bone. The pumpkin cheese cake was a local homemade cheesecake! It was so delicious that I wanted a whole cake! Recommend this place, the prices are decent, type of small portions, but if you come back earlier than I want, you will not regret!
We had our first experience with them yesterday at a wedding they looked after. Everything was amazing. The beef breeze, vegetables, Mac cheese, grilled chicken, rolls and apple butter. So good that we visited her restaurant for more delicious food tonight. The turkey was like Thanksgiving dinner. Amazing and moist and my husband loved the pulled pig. You also have gluten-free menu options. We don't go much to Carlisle, but we will definitely be back for Hickory Ridge!!
Stopped here on our road trip and had a delicious home cooked meal and cold refreshing sweet tea. Waitress was very friendly and the service was impressive. Stopped here again on our way back home and had the fried chicken. By far hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had!. I am not one to be bothered writing reviews but, this chicken was incredible. Same great customer service. We will keep this restaurant in our book of places to stop.
