Bidra med feedbackWe went there yesterday to get a drink and some cakes or deserts. Met at the door by a young man who let us know it was cash only. No problem. Then after we let him know that that would be ok he said that it would be exact amount only. That was strange but do able. Then, when actually ordering he states that the cakes would be in cardboard boxes and the drinks would be in paper cups. Topping it off was a female staff member appearing from out the back squawking that it was cash only after we had already been told. Given that we were there to spend money and the place was in loose terms empty but open you'd think that said woman would have used her energy better by washing a few cups and plates up. Pointless place that that serves the same way as motorway services captive public and those that are desperate. Qualified opinion get new staff or provide washing up, food hygiene and customer service training.
Coffee butter and Luke warm after requesting it hot. Toasted sandwich soggy I could only eat the crust and what filling I could scrap out. Staff fine.
We had coffee and a hot chocolate. As I waited for my husband to get the drinks, I watched a young man, wearing blue plastic gloves, wiping a couple of tables and taking away some trays into another room. He came back out, did the same and again went into the other room, emerging within seconds not time enough to wash his hand or to replace the gloves! He went straight behind the counter and began serving drinks and no doubt food too. This isn't good enough, bad hygiene and unprofessional.
I usually let things like this slide, everyone makes mistakes. But caffe Nero damn your customer service is just shocking. Bad staff, bad customer service and way over price for the slop I received. I won't be returning and I'd advise you do the same.
Not impressed with the low standard of cleanliness in this Cafè Nero. I also was poured half a tea cup of coffee the rest was made up of whipped milk. I also had to request for a table to be cleared and cleaned. The young lady that served me clearly wasnt happy in her job role and therefore it reflected badly on her customer service. Indeed a bad reflection on Management come on Management get your act together get a grip on your staff. Just to add, I chose to have a coffee in The House of Fraser as theyve always guarranteed high standards but in this vase not impressed at all. Wont be visiting Cade Nero again.
