Gourmet Grub - Carleton Place

The best smoked BBQ brisket I've ever had, with delicious homemade chipotle sauce. A must-try dish. This is my top pick in Lanark County and I wish Ottawa had a place like this.

Over the weekend, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant and tried their amazing poutine with pulled pork, cheese curds, and delicious gravy. The portion was large enough for two people and we both ended up overeating because it was just so good. They have a variety of poutines on their menu that I would love to try again. Definitely worth the visit.

I came across several food stalls along Highway 17, and decided to try the gourmet dubing booth. I ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich on homemade roasted bread with bacon and cheese (priced at $6.25CAD). They also offered hot dogs, fresh cut fries, burgers, poutine, and fish. The food was delicious and I highly recommend it. The booth is located at the corner of Highway 15 and Highway 7, in the southeast corner. You can also find them on Facebook.

We stopped on the weekend for lunch and had the best poutine - it has pulled pork, and cheese curds and simply excellent gravy. The portion was enough for 2, and both of us ate too much but it was soooo good.. They have many types of poutine that I want to go back to try. Certainly worth the drive.
