Sitar Indian Restaurant - Carindale

We go to this restaurant alot ,We always enjoyed Naan bread and Chicken Tikka , but recently tried their Beef Samosa .Delicious best ever .We really like this restaurant

We had a delicious Indian meal here last night. All the courses were very good from the tandoori prawns, my lamb cutlets (tasty as), the spinach naan (with plenty of spinach inside a thick doughie texture....just how I like it) and the highlight was my husband's goat curry....superb, so tender and flavoursome. Service was good and it is a nice place to sit with the elephants! Highly recommend.

Our local Indian, all of the dishes we have tried have been lovely. Good depth of flavour and varied menu. Conveniently also home deliver. We haven't ever dined in, but the front of house service for take away is polite and friendly.

We were tossing up between Sitar and another Indian restaurant directly opposite. Without going to the other restaurant, I can confidently say that we made the wrong choice. Customer service is non existent here. When we were seated a menu was dropped at our table and we were forgotten about. We had to get up and ask for our first drink order. We then had to get up to ask that our meal order be taken. We had to get up again and ask for our second drink order. We were then served the wrong dish - the order had been taken incorrectly. We then had to get up to ask for our bill. The restaurant was not busy. It was a Monday night and there were two other tables, each with only two people. The food itself was average, however we would not have had an issue if the service was not so appalling. My advice: skip this joint and find somewhere else to eat!

We had the chance to visit a small family restaurant at Coorparoo (Brisbane Suburb) this evening. What a great evening. We were a party of four, one who liked their curry hot, one medium and two very mild. We decided on the buffet and were assured by our very friendly wait staff that the curry would be cooked to our liking. All I can say was they delivered exactly what we ordered. Fragrant aromatic tasting curries that could be enjoyed for their outstanding taste and flavour. We did not have runny eyes or noses and the food was so good. The naan bread was fab especially the date and cashew naan so good I had to take some home with me. We will be going back. Very happy with the evening and cannot say enough about the chef or his fantastic food.
