We have eaten here a number of times and always considered the walk from Central Cardiff worth while for an authentic Chinese meal. Last Wednesday lunch was a different story. We were one of two occupied tables with a third vacant table piled with dirty dishes that were still their when we left. The waiter can only be described as lazy with complete lack of attention to the diners, preferring to spend his time on his smartphone and gazing at his image in the mirror. When our food arrived it came without serving spoons and we had to interrupt his phone use again, The rice was stodgy and tasted like it had been warmed up instead of freshly prepared. Although the rest of the food was of a reasonable standard this poor customer service means we will not be going back again.

We went there on a Saturday evening at around eight. Surprised to find we were the only customers, but decided to give it a go. Starters came without too much delay, but as soon as we began the main courses arrived too, not quite as we had expected. During our meal a staff member sat at the table opposite, staring at his phone the entire time, at first I wondered if he was videoing us! Some other people came in, clearly either other staff members or family, and they wandered in and out the of the kitchen chatting the man with the camera phone, but not really appearing to be doing anything. When finished we sat waiting for the table to be cleared so that we could ask for the bill. Eventually had to ask for it. It could be that they were just giving us time, but I thought it fairly obvious that we were done and waiting. When we did get the bill, it was then that the waiter told us it was cash only. Thankfully we managed to make up enough cash, but think it’s fair to say that this should really be declared at the start not everyone will carry cash for a meal out. So this review is really just to say that we thought the service was unprofessional, and the only reason we gave two stars was because the food itself was as good as expected although it’s probably reasonable to assume you can’t go far wrong with Chinese food. Or can you? We felt we had interrupted a friends/family/staff event.

Visited here after work on a weeknight. The service was quick, and attentive. The menu is extensive, and has an excellent range of real Chinese dishes, as opposed to those catering to Western tastes. Would recommend.

I stopped here last night the food was alright as was the service, The restaurant is authentic looked also clean and tidy although the place was alright is wasn't the best I have ever been to
