Bidra med feedbackThere are places where you happily pay £4.25 for a super duper, all singing and all dancing coffee or milkshake...and then there's this place. Went here at 3:00 on a sunny Sunday afternoon and although busy, there didn't seem to be any issues. How wrong was I. After parting with over £14 for two drinks and two cakes £3.25 for a muffin I started waiting....and waiting...and waiting. A fellow customer and I then realised that the four members of staff had lost our orders. They were apologetic and immediately began to fulfill the lost orders, and fair enough, so far, so pretty good. However. My warm Pumpkin spiced late arrived, but no sign of my £4.25 Milkshake...so I carried on waiting whilst the staff member who was in the process of making it spoke on the phone..When I asked him to make the milkshake and get off the phone my coffee had been in hand for about 10 minutes by now, on top of the 10 minutes I had previously been waiting I was informed that he was phoning for help. Then about another 5 minutes till my milkshake finally arrived. This was all bad enough, but these things can happen when somewhere gets suddenly busy I've seen less staff in other places cope with more orders, but hey ho. But on top of it all, the actual product, when I finally got my hands on it was extremely disappointing. My late had very little actual coffee, lots of puffed up cream and no pumpkin spices.....just an extremely overpriced milk and cream drink...which had gone cold with the wait. As for the milk shake...same story...lots of cream and milk and a few pieces of Oreo and chocolate sauce from a bottle..There are very few places where one feels cheated. Sometimes long waits can be annoying, sometimes prices can be steep, but even then, I have hardly ever felt cheated. Well, I have now, and then some. Keep away.
Lovely location for lunch. The coffe was full of flavour without the sharpness, the welsh steak and pastie to die for! And the staff were so friendly and polite. Go here you will love it!
We popped in here while walking along the bay and got a seat by the window which had lovely views. The Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate and Latte were lovely.
I've been meaning to try this place for a while. I decided to walk down especially to pop in today and wasn't disappointed : The coffee is really good. It's strong but not over the top. And really frothy : Definitely in my top 3 in Cardiff. The blueberry muffin was good too. The staff were really friendly. It was just over £5 for a latte, muffin and crisps. Which is cheaper that most other places in Cardiff. I sat on the sofa's. The view of the Bay was great from here too :
Stopped by here on way to Dr Who experience. Excellent coffee and cakes, and the pies and pasties were really tasty and good value. Would definitely recommend. My only niggle was that a couple had a really noisy dog that barked constantly. I really support people being able to bring animals into cafes, but not if it is intrusive to other people. There were plenty of seats outside, and it was a glorious day, so if you can't control your animal, take it outside.
