Bidra med feedbackOur family of grandparents, elders and grandchildren wandered in carcassone on the look for a midday place in juni. we landed here, it was lovely. delicious. really wonderful. if you like to escape, don't miss the cassoulet. the children's menu collection option is also divine, and...if I can't remember what all the others have ordered, I can't doubt my enkel and I were very happy. we ordered dessert and shared a few, including cream brulet, lave chocolate cake and berry tea. again, wonderful. I know we all snapped over the elections that we picked for lunch, but I can't tell them what they were.
Lovely little modern restaurant with a number of set menus and also a la carte options. My girlfriend and I both opted for the €16 3 course menu. I opted for the goats cheese salad, cassoulet and creme brûlée while my girlfriend had the pumpkin...soup, steak and ice cream. The goats cheese salad was quite nice and the creme brûlée was excellent. My girlfriend’s pumpkin soup did not taste of anything and the cassoulet was not to my liking but edible (my first time trying it, there was probably nothing wrong with it! , my girlfriend enjoyed her steak (like a rib eye but slightly less tasty and thinner, great value for €16 and there was a great selection of tasty ice cream. The service was good with one waiter in particular speaking excellent English and the red wine was nice. The place lacked a bit of atmosphere but the staff were welcoming and for what we paid, it was a very enjoyable experience.
We arrived at this beautiful garden restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the center (it was August) ready for a refined evening meal in this delightful setting. Before ordering we had the bad surprise that they were playing music more appropriate for a disco than such a refined place. The waiters who were all young didn't seem to understand that this music is not adapted to the situation and refused to even turn it down replying in a mocking manner that it helped digestion. We left immediately. If you want a refined and tranquil evening meal do not be lured by the beautiful gardens avoid this place.
My husband and I had a delightful meal here one evening whilst holidaying in Carcassonne. The food was tasty and portions enormous, making it very good value. A pleasant atmosphere in a lovely setting. My only complaint is that I had no room for dessert! I can heartily recommend the cassoulet.
This restaurant offers a beautiful and quiet garden right next to the Basilica. Both dinner menues for 16 or 27€ are very attractive 3 course meals with a choice of 3-4 different dishes each. You can choose between regional dishes, fish and meat. We 4 had almost every variation on the table and enjoyed all ! A bottle of the local Corbieres white wine is 15€.We enjoyed our evening there a lot !
