Auberge des Chenes - Carcassonne

Only visited this restaurant and enjoyed a really well cooked, beautifully presented lunch. great value for money we had the set menu that gave us two options for our starter, pornstar and dessert. we also had a very nice glass white wine with the...Set menu. the restaurant is welcoming and comfortable. the waiter was helpful and attentive to explain some of the courses so that we were able to make good decisions. the food came, we both had asked for salads to begin and weep what an salate, they were plentiful, and coated with a delicious dressing. if this had been our main course, we would have been satisfied, but no good main course followed. I had fish with a beautiful creamy sauce accompanied by a kind of corvette/cartoffel rosti, my only very tiny critique would be the main course was not quite hot enough (I feel a little bad saying that because overall it was really nice.) my friend had a numb in a tomato sauce with tagliatelle and she said it was delicious. our dessert was a Panna-Citta for me and a banan and kiwi-fruit for my friend. we both thought our desserts would be fab. coffee and chatting made the two hours we fly in the restaurant. a good lunch, nice environment and delicious food served by nice staff. if you have the chance to visit them.

Malheureusement la première chose qui nous a choqué est une familiarité un peu poussée surtout envers les femmes mariées ou non de certains serveurs'' en manque'' apparemment...Peu professionnel dans le service donc malgré un beau cadre ,une carte varié mais sans originalité pour des prix un peu cher je trouve. Cuisine un peu lourde mais nous n'essaierons guère plus ,bref à éviter.

On ne vous propose pas la carte... Juste le menu ! Peu onéreux certes mais heureusement....Poisson sauce pesto.... Je la cherche encore, accompagné de frites congelées! Dorade fraîche ? Pas sûre !!La pièce du Boucher ... Un grand nom mais petite portion. Nous n'avons pas tenté le dessert classique d'île flottante et de tarte citron.Menu avec pression, chouette une bière fraîche il fait chaud . Oups ils n'ont pas été livré, bon un verre de vin alors ....Courage les garçons , la restauration est un métier difficile et de compétition.

A pesar de estar a pie de carretera a la entrada de Carcassone , no es para nada un restaurante de carretera , ni todo lo contrario . El local está bastante bien , sin lujos, pero amplio ara el aforo que tiene y el servicio aunque escaso se esmera.la cocina es francamente buena tanto las ensaladas como las carnes, especial mención al magret de pato .
