El Paisano - Capitan

Delicious omelet, made with farm fresh eggs, homemade tortillas. ? Will be back for lunch!

Overall a decent experience. We come to Capitan often and rarely see this place open so we thought we'd try today. The service was prompt but be advised when they ask if you want chips and salsa they charge for them. The New Mexican food had a good flavor but absolutely no heat. The staff was nice but next time I'll try a burger!

Have eaten in El Paisano many times. Love the Green Chile Pork Stew. The Apple pie is homemade and is delicious. Enjoy a great meal at El Paisano.

I wish I could like this place more. I love the mom and pop hole in the walls. Not good if you require dietary accommodations.The good: fantastic food and lovely people. The atmosphere is very homey. Sometimes native jewelry, etc for sale.The meh: slow service. They run out of things throughout the day (get here early).The bad: it’s really hard to recommend this place if you require dietary accommodations. I can’t have dairy among other things and they did not realize that cheese has dairy. Cash only.
