Ons Huisie - Cape Town

A little closer to the sea and you're inside! Wow, what a great restaurant. Perfect location. Absolutely perfect! No atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly. The facility is pet-friendly, and it is really. You're making such a mess. Thank you. Of course the food was perfect. We enjoyed a perfect evening (and sunset) and felt very happy! I highly recommend Ons Huisie. Oh, and the story of Ons Huisie is very interesting!

The first time to eat here after several car rides and we turn away as it seemed so busy and the parking is always full. Good to see you. Fantastic views during food, fantastic ambience, fantastic service and amazing food. Jalapeño Poppers were crispy and tasty, I had the shrimp and Calamari combo that was fresh and tasty, woman had the fish and chips that was also amazing. I just wish we could have taken the amazing tartar sauce home!

Very nice view from outdoor tables. Just take a look at weekends The place is packed, so either book a table or be ready to stand in one line! Luckily, the line does not move too slowly so that not bad when you end up in the line. We feel the waiters weren't enough, hopefully if it was just the weekend we visited.

Perfection! I ordered the Cajun style calamari and my wife had the pan fried calamari. Both plates had generous portions and the food was perfect. The staff are polite and their knowledge of the menu is spot on. The views cannot be ignored, being a stone's throw from the beach. Overall, highly recommended.

I’ve been coming here for many years, even on holidays back to SA whilst living abroad for a decade. They’ve paved the entire outside area. That aside, not much has changed. Good food in hearty portions, good wine list, extraordinary location and perfectly reasonable prices. It is so good to have a spot nearby that has stuck to this formula, kept their locals, and not sold out to milking the tourists with remarkable views and wholly unremarkable fare at exorbitant pricing.
